Simple Profile Photo — Shopify App

Data Collection

Simple Profile Photo collects and stores the following data:

• Profile photos uploaded by customers from their account profile page.
• Customer ID to associate the photo with the correct customer account.

Data Storage

All profile photos are stored securely using Shopify Files, Shopify's built-in file hosting service. Photo URLs are saved as customer metafields within your Shopify store. No data is sent to or stored on third-party servers.

Data Usage

Profile photos are used exclusively to:

• Display the customer's photo in the store header when logged in.
• Display the customer's photo on their account profile page.

Photos are never shared with third parties, used for marketing, or processed for any purpose other than display.

Data Deletion

Customers can delete their profile photo at any time from their account profile page. When deleted, the photo is removed from Shopify Files and the customer metafield is cleared. Uninstalling the app will stop displaying photos but existing metafields and files remain in your Shopify store until manually removed.

GDPR Compliance

This app processes personal data (profile photos) on behalf of the store owner. As the data controller, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your customers. The app supports customer data deletion requests through Shopify's mandatory GDPR webhooks.
